Dear Parents, Carers and Visitors,

As Headteacher of the Beacon Pupil Referral Unit I have the privilege of welcoming you to our provision. Having grown up in the area this provision means a great deal to me.

The Beacon caters for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils who are presenting with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

Our highly skilled and dedicated staff ensure that our pupils are at the heart of everything we do. We provide a safe and caring environment where everyone is valued and encouraged to respect themselves and others. We strive to re-engage pupils helping them to maximise their potential.

We work in partnership with families and professionals, providing a supportive learning environment where children are safe to learn and are also equipped for the next step in their education; whether this is a return to mainstream school or a specialist provision.

I hope that our website will give you all the information you require about our unit, and provide you with an insight into the activities that our pupils enjoy through our curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
